The ideal length of the martingale section is around 2cm, but it should be adjusted based on the dog’s neck size and fur density. As a guideline, it should fit snugly with about two fingers' width for an adult hand. If the collar is too loose, it could slip off over the dog's head; if too tight, it may cause discomfort.
